Janteloppet Norway turns 5, and we're breaking the mold again with three anniversary gifts: our best first release price ever, a whole new way to race, and our biggest parties yet. Because we can, and you deserve it!
This year, everything happens at and around Gaiastova, from the loops to the parties. Plan your trip and book your stay with that in mind.
Gift 1: Our best first release price ever
We promised it, and we meant it. Janteloppet 2027 Full Pass opens at NOK 999, the best first release price we've ever offered. Doing it your way comes at a cost. Do it anyway. This year, it just costs a lot less.
Tickets go on sale 1 November at 20:00 Oslo time. The first release price is only available for the first 100 tickets, so set a reminder.
Gift 2: A challenge like never before
This is the big one. For our fifth anniversary, we're throwing out the rulebook and building a challenge nobody has done before.
Here's how it works:
The loops: 5 iconic loops around Gaiastova. About 25 km in total (shortest about 1.2 km, longest about 9 km).
The challenge window: Opens Friday 9 April at 8:00 and closes Saturday 10 April at 15:00.
You choose: Ski one loop or all five, the technique that suits you, starting point, start time and order.
Leaderboards: One for every loop, and one for all five together.
The crown: Set the record across all five loops and become the King or Queen of Hafjell. And yes, a cool prize awaits.
The reveal: This is as much about strategy as it is about endurance. The loops stay secret until you buy your pass. The earlier you buy, the more time you have to plan your strategy and practice.
This year, you can also get your anniversary bib sent straight to your door. We'll share regular updates on the challenge in the weeks ahead, from the loops to the leaderboards. Stay tuned.
Gift 3: The biggest Janteburn & Afterburn yet
Five years deserves a proper party, so we're turning it up.
Here's what's new this year:
Janteburn opens early: Live music from 11:00 AM on Saturday 10 April. Time it right, and you can ski straight from your last loop into the Janteburn afterski festival. Only here for the party? Start early and cheer on the challengers as they come in.
Line-up: It's our fifth anniversary, so expect more artists and our biggest names yet.
Afterburn: Staying for the afterparty? A special guest DJ is waiting for you.
