On August 22, we're inviting you to Janteloppet Summer Edition β a 7 km race along the Akerselva River from Kubaparken to Frysja.
The question is simple:
Who will set the fastest time up Akerselva?
To ensure a smooth flow on the course and the best possible conditions for fast times, runners will start in waves of 10 participants at a time. Whether you're chasing a new personal best, looking to beat your friends, or simply want to find out how fast you really are over 7 kilometers, everything is set for an unforgettable challenge.
The course follows one of Oslo's most beautiful running routes, stretching from Kubaparken to Frysja. Along the way, you'll be joined by hundreds of other runners, all with the same goal: to push themselves and see how fast they can go.
ππ»ββοΈ Are you the fastest in your friend group?
ππ»ββοΈ Are you the fastest at the office?
ππ»ββοΈ Or could you be the fastest of them all?
Crossing the finish line doesn't mean the day is over. At Frysja, you can jump straight into one of Oslo's cleanest swimming spots for a well-earned cool down after the race. Few things feel better than an ice-cold swim after giving it everything out on the course.
Bring your swimwear, gather your crew, and enjoy the feeling of leaving it all out there.
The atmosphere continues at the finish area with beats, mocktails, and snacks. Compare times with your friends, celebrate your effort, and enjoy the rest of the summer day together.
Later, we'll keep the energy going with our official after-run party, live DJs, and the kind of atmosphere you definitely don't want to miss.
What are you really capable of? All summer long, you've had the chance to talk about how fast you are. On August 22, you'll get the opportunity to prove it. So gather your crew, fire up the group chat, and secure your race bib.
The question is simple: Do you have what it takes to set the record up Akerselva? π
